The book is set with a small character base, characters are engaging and the plot unfolds at just the right pace.
The novel is really addictive and gripping throughout and there are some intense chapters and scenes. The authors' prose is very fluid, the characters' dialogue very natural, and the narrative flow is excellent. The writing doesn't overload us with reams of description - in fact things are fairly light on explanation, allowing events and dialogue to fill in our understanding of this future. The science is believable, not too outlandish and we're not swamped with technological terminology.
Summary - a top quality space opera that i highly recommend and will be watching out for the follow up.
